CAD is a technology that has radically changed the marine industry.

It has widely been used for years by the manufacturing and aeronautical industry.

Analogies between aerodynamics and hydrodynamics make CAD the perfect tool for naval design. It also enables an excellent scheduling of materials that provides exceptional value in cost competitiveness.

How CAD works

The hull is designed and revised with 3D parametric modelling software.

Every single component of the 3D generated design is checked and identified; the same applies for welding lines, joints and corner radii.

Then, each component is given a reference marking to determine its position in respect of the other components. It is thanks to this method that it is possible to build the hull and interiors at the same time, saving time and reducing costs.
