Aluminium and light alloys

These are the main materials used in ALU_wind constructions: our company motto “Aluminium dreams” make this concept clearer. We are convinced that the use of light alloys, together with top construction skills, can create the yacht of your dreams!

Lightness, high resistance against corrosion caused by marine environment, virtually maintenance free and robustness, makes aluminium an excellent material for the construction of cruising vessels.
ALU_wind
use magnesium-based noble alloys specifically created for naval constructions.
The structures, the plating and all other elements are assembled by ALU_wind by MIG welding under a pure argon atmosphere.

Waterjet cutting is surely one of the most innovative methods of cutting metals and it is now widely used in the mechanical industry.

Waterjet cutting

Waterjet cutting is surely one of the most innovative methods of cutting metals and it is now widely used in the mechanical industry.

With this technology, it is possible to work with any type of material and precision cutting can be executed on metals like stainless steel, special steel, aluminium, titanium, special alloys etc.

Not even thickness is a problem; it is possible to cut metals, depending of the material, up to 150mm thick.

Furthermore, complex designs are easily generated and cutting accuracy is assured.

Other advantages are a fast cutting process with no physical or mechanical alteration of the metal.
